Benefits International is an independent agency headed by Blakemore
W. (Blake) Overall, a 1972 graduate of Southern Methodist University.
Blake has been an independent agent since 1972 and insurance has been
the family business since the 1890’s. He is licensed in Life, Health,
Property and Casualty insurance. From 1972-1982 Blake worked
with commercial and professional liability, property insurance and
bonds. He has specialized in group insurance
since 1982 and student health insurance since 1990. Having been
a free agent representing a full range of top companies, Blake is always
of the mindset of working for the client and each one’s particular
needs instead of representing only one company and one line of products
to fit all situations. This has proved particularly useful for new policies
as well as renewals. We have foreign and domestic student health insurance
written on a voluntary or mandatory basis, together or separately. We
provide fully insured or self funded plans, as well as faculty and scholar
exchange plans and athletic plans. Domestic students studying abroad
will likely have special considerations. Stand alone study abroad programs
are available. Ask us for details. All foreign student plans are
fully compliant with all civil rights codes including Title IX (pregnancy
coverage). Blake Overall is a member of NAFSA: Association
of International Educators.
Foreign
students often come to the U.S. from countries providing government
sponsored health care. Many of them may not be familiar with the private
system in America. We work closely with companies that are intimately
familiar with the special needs of foreign students. We
always offer companies with the most up-to-date information and online
enrollments, ID card printing, downloadable claim forms and online claim
status, and complete explanation of benefits accessible to students.
Even
though we have been in business a number of years, we always make
it a point to get to know each customer and their needs on a personal
and ongoing basis. We are consistently in touch with our clients
to make sure everything runs smoothly.
